‘Stella’ is not even one year old yet and about as cute as they come. The thing that isn’t cute is when a clumsy puppy severely hurts itself.

Mario and Carmela adopted their mini fox terrier last year from Little River. She is adorable and very affectionate, but as we said earlier a little ungainly at the moment which led to her accident. ‘Stella’ was on a table and fell hard onto her right leg and was lame and sore immediately. After getting the tiny dog to the vets for x-rays it was discovered she had badly damaged the right hip, and it would need surgery to alleviate her pain. ‘Stella’s’ owners knew that they were unable to afford the surgery to help her and were directed to PMC for help in managing the case and the financial burden.

“We are so thankful to Pet Medical Crisis for all of their help, we can’t thank them enough!” Carmela told us after the surgery.

Thanks to the great work from the team @peninsulavetcare and the doctor in charge, Dr. Kate, ‘Stella’ the awkward puppy is back at home, sore but recovering well. PMC is sure this little lady will be back in full swing in no time.

Pet Medical Crisis relies on public donations to assist pensioners and disadvantaged owners who cannot afford life-saving veterinary care.
